Yes I Am A Model - Wrestling Fashion?

Ok, so absurd and out there trends are what fashion is all about so let`s have a look at what I reckon will be the next trend to take catwalks from Milan to New York by storm - wrestling attire.

Ooh Get Her!

Flamboyance in wrestling seems to be dying off these days, instead the preferred heroes and heroines are those jacked up super hero types that look like they`ve come straight off set from Pumping Iron! Either that or the look is geared towards the gay pornm market (Randy Orton anyone??). So let`s have a look at some of the most flamboyant wrestlers of yesteryear.

Got The Thirst??

1987, a rag tag bunch of hipster vampires have been terrorising the quiet beach town of Santa Carla for centuries. Based in their dug out cave in the rock face of a cliff over looking the sea these blood sucking punks have no idea what is about to hit them - the unassuming duo known as The Frog Brothers. Edgar and Allan Frog are fearless vampire killers who beleive in truth, justice and the American way and are not going to stand for blood sucking freaks and creatures of the night anymore! Helped by wannabe vampire recruits Star and Michael Emerson and comic book geek and frozen yoghurt loving Sam Emerson The Frog Brothers must rid Santa Carla of these Twisted Sister failures forever!!

That`s basically the plot for the 1987 classic Lost Boys, starring Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and Keifer Sutherland. One of the finest movies from the 80`s and some people say that there should be no sequels or remakes attempted, I agree as the movie is a fine example of 80`s dross that is completely watchable. With memorable quotes, a great soundtrack and fantastic wardrobe you really can`t do any more with the film however, studio execs will be studio execs and in 2008 The Lost Boys: The Tribe was unleashed on us. Straight to DVD it went and forums worldwide went crazy. It really was bad and I must admit, the only saving grace was the appearance of Tom Savini at the beginning of the movie. The script was bad, the acting worse and the makeup and wardrobe laughable. Surfing vampires - no thanks!

Now a third entry is about to hit us - The Lost Boys: The Thirst

From the stills and teaser trailer it actually looks ok. Jamison Newlander returns as Allen Frog, joining Corey Feldman as Edgar. The movie focuses on The Frog Brothers. "Vampire hunter Edgar Frog is destitute and nearly friendless, when vampire-romance novelist Gwen Lieber offers him a small fortune to rescue her son from vampires."

It will be hitting DVD racks late 2010 so in the meantime have a look at some sneak peek pics and the teaser trailer:
